SUB: Notification regarding creation of Institution of Cooperative Ombudsman under the MSCS Act 2002 & Rules thereunder.

The office of the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies, New Delhi vide their order dated 23 rd April 2024 has notified the creation of the institution of Cooperative Ombudsman under the MSCS Act 2002 & Rules thereunder, vide Gazette Notification dated 5 th March 2024, under the following guidelines.

1. Cooperative Ombudsman shall enquire into the complaints made by any member of the Multi State Cooperative Society regarding their deposits, equitable benefits of society, functioning or any other issue affecting the individual rights of the concerned member, in such manner, as may be prescribed in the MSCS Act 2002 and Rules thereunder. The aggrieved members can make their complaints in Form VI as provided in the MSCS Rules, 2002.
2. Cooperative Ombudsman will also be the Appellate Authority against any order passed by the Cooperative Information Officer of the Multi State Cooperative Society. Members may prefer their Appeal, in form VII as provided in the MSCS Rules, 2002.

CAMPCO, a renowned multi-state co-operative organization dedicated to safeguarding the interests of arecanut growers, is on the brink of embarking upon a transformative journey. The co-operative plans to introduce ERP-Enterprise Resource Planning, a top-tier software solution of international standards, into its operational framework starting from the upcoming fiscal year.
To facilitate the transition to ERP, CAMPCO will temporarily suspend all services at its branches, including the Head office, from 26.03.2024 to 06.04.2024. Regular services will resume on April 8, 2024. The CAMPCO seeks the cooperation and understanding of its valued members during this transition phase, as there may be minor disruptions in services while implementing the new software. CAMPCO remains committed to ensuring a seamless experience for all stakeholders throughout this transition.

To prevent spoilage of cocoa wet beans, we shall continue to purchase the same during this period. Kindly note that the payment for such purchases will be made after 08-04-2024. We request the cooperation of all member growers in this regard.

This is to inform you that we have vide letter dated 31.10.2023 received directions from the Central Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India to appoint auditors from out of the list of empaneled auditors notified by the Central Registrar. Accordingly a Board meeting was conducted on 13.11.2023 and it has been resolved vide Resolution No.1 to appoint M/s B V C & Co, Chartered Accountants, Bengaluru as Statutory Auditor and M/s YCRJ & Associates, Bengaluru as Concurrent Auditor who are in the “Notified list of Central Registrar’s approved empaneled Auditors” in the state of Karnataka, for conducting the Audit of our Cooperative for the financial year 2023-24.

Further it is also resolved that the new appointment of M/s B V C & Co, Chartered Accountants, Bengaluru as Statutory Auditor and M/s YCRJ & Associates, Bengaluru as Concurrent Auditor will be ratified in the Meeting of our General Body.
