Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General of Assam Rifles, visited the CAMPCO Chocolate Factory at Kemminje, Puttur. During his visit, he toured the manufacturing facilities and familiarised himself with CAMPCO’s chocolate production processes, quality standards and value-addition initiatives.
Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera was commissioned into the Indian Army on 9 June 1990 and has held several important command and staff appointments during his distinguished military career. He has been honoured with the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM) and Sena Medal (SM) for distinguished service.
During the visit, he appreciated CAMPCO’s efforts in cocoa value addition, chocolate manufacturing and strengthening the interests of farmers through the cooperative model. The visit provided an opportunity to showcase CAMPCO’s modern manufacturing facilities and its contribution to the growth of the cocoa and chocolate sector.
